Citrix NetScaler Application Delivery Controller and NetScaler Gateway
Multiple Security Updates

Security Bulletin | Medium | Created: 10 Feb 2016 | Modified: 11 Feb 2016

Description of Problem

A number of vulnerabilities have been identified in Citrix NetScaler
Application Delivery Controller (ADC) and NetScaler Gateway that could allow a
malicious, unprivileged user to perform privileged operations or execute
commands.

The following vulnerabilities have been addressed:

CVE-2016-2071: Citrix NetScaler Application Delivery Controller and NetScaler
Gateway Command Privilege Elevation Vulnerability Through Un-sanitised NS Web
GUI Commands.

CVE-2016-2072: Vulnerability in Citrix NetScaler Application Delivery
Controller and NetScaler Gateway Administrative Web Interface Could Result in
Click-Jacking.

These vulnerabilities affect the following versions of Citrix NetScaler ADC
and NetScaler Gateway:

    Version 11.0 earlier than 11.0 Build 64.34.

    Version 10.5 earlier than 10.5 Build 59.13 and 10.5.e earlier than 10.5.e
Build 59.1305.e

All builds of version 10.1 are affected by CVE-2016-2072 only.
CVE-2016-2071 does not affect version 10.1

What Customers Should Do

These vulnerabilities have been addressed in the following versions of Citrix
NetScaler ADC and NetScaler Gateway:

Citrix NetScaler ADC and NetScaler Gateway version 11.0 Build 64.34 and
later

Citrix NetScaler ADC and NetScaler Gateway version 10.5 Build 59.13 and
later and version 10.5.e Build 59.1305.e and later

Customers using Citrix NetScaler ADC and NetScaler Gateway 10.1 with specific
concerns around CVE-2015-2072 (Clickjacking), and that are not able to upgrade
to these new versions, can upgrade to version 10.1 Build 133.9 and later which
contain additional protections for this issue.

These new versions can be downloaded from the following locations:

https://www.citrix.com/downloads/netscaler-adc.html

https://www.citrix.com/downloads/netscaler-gateway.html

Citrix recommends that customers using affected versions of the NetScaler ADC
and NetScaler Gateway upgrade to a version of the appliance firmware that
contains the fixes for these issues as soon as their normal patching schedule
allows.
