In lieu of the various member meet-ups we’ve been unable to host this year, our team will instead be hosting a series of webinars featuring our range of services and focusing on how to maximise the utilisation of these within our membership group.

Agenda: Practical applications and Q&A

Featured service:
Malicious URL Feed

With all the recent ransomware attacks making the news headline recently, we would like to remind members of our Malicious URL Feed service

On a day-to-day basis, AusCERT encounters numerous phishing and malware attacks which are analysed and curated. By consuming this feed into a SIEM or firewall solution, members can prevent compromises.

Essentially, this is a great addition to your existing layers of defence. At AusCERT, we analyse on-the-ground malware here in Australia, so chances are, we might detect threats and campaigns as they are being deployed.

This means that the indicator of threats gets to your SIEM and firewall solution potentially as soon as our team has analysed them. This, combined with your vendor's global threat intel, would fortify your organisation against contemporary threats to your network.

Presenter:

Colby has a background in DevOps and managing infrastructure. He has a strong focus on security and is involved information security community in Queensland.

This webinar session will be hosted and moderated by Mike Holm, AusCERT Senior Manager.
