An attacker who can control log messages or log message parameters can execute arbitrary code loaded from LDAP servers when message lookup substitution is enabled. For Debian 9 stretch, this problem has been fixed in version 2.7-2+deb9u1. We recommend that you upgrade your apache-log4j2 packages. For the detailed security status of apache-log4j2 please refer to its security tracker page at: https://security-tracker.debian.org/tracker/apache-log4j2 Further information about Debian LTS security advisories, how to apply these updates to your system and frequently asked questions can be found at: https://wiki.debian.org/LTS - -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQKTBAABCgB9FiEErPPQiO8y7e9qGoNf2a0UuVE7UeQFAmG2ELFfFIAAAAAALgAo aXNzdWVyLWZwckBub3RhdGlvbnMub3BlbnBncC5maWZ0aGhvcnNlbWFuLm5ldEFD RjNEMDg4RUYzMkVERUY2QTFBODM1RkQ5QUQxNEI5NTEzQjUxRTQACgkQ2a0UuVE7 UeQ0KxAAx10qLFAhoRBMPKjRjft8kUTqccZLeC8TxEMRdtPBN9eS7kqtK4jgzyC5 FMS4b7JsMxHK9MFqWRIMcG9vEc4WBEg6mAetnbkLtDzDaQ33RoQ+ELC8UmFBEMxQ sozLql2AVz//vTz/Q0+UFNoX3RPMwT1XiuAD9I8a5frQmjQB+WIqErl7AwVYHzDv 7wwulztHeKoacD4mWAAtP0T4TIeAUUQ8AZcIDx8QOIf3wpAmaDpR/tibvscepMl/ vyexYLUfYtzO/0y8XVA05ujMNdQqZrcQsIbXpo2cc1A8t8tEyffsdc0XwRFHjiMQ orwWcY7HuQ+v31CaJ5PVpVKz+3ldvHbb24FH5zWs0lzbl+M3ABt5YqhR0RXpuCQm v7Lci8FH6SULHdQCHTIQEq5qK41h4OlvWZQAGlBL2IphjqRSk+BAo2WWdHsvbg2B AaUbhpk2i1x1rT6KwpxGQpOcsShVB4RMgN23T2H3/8K2nJKS40aEKIUw1lhhiNFT JJ2j1hKMyJs/2JapbJzACbC9N4FAlZ8f7/eFrFOfYAGZt/vUVddNMA0FOmIYUL/V c89e2f36Tyxn0Mr0ZXOgTxaa7AhQMlC6GUGeVhaC9Xw7Q0kJys14ObasgqGCkauV /BPuk2fRYpAl9NZhGzPa8W75G83lLPWCwkRUFEswPs2fN5PM1Xw= =B5wJ - -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- - --------------------------END INCLUDED TEXT-------------------- You have received this e-mail bulletin as a result of your organisation's registration with AusCERT.
