A maliciously crafted renegotiation request could result in a server crash (see OpenSSL issue CVE-2021-3449). Disable the feature altogether on OpenSSL versions that permit doing so, which are 1.1.0h and newer. For Debian 9 stretch, this problem has been fixed in version 9.6.23-0+deb9u1. We recommend that you upgrade your postgresql-9.6 packages. For the detailed security status of postgresql-9.6 please refer to its security tracker page at: https://security-tracker.debian.org/tracker/postgresql-9.6 Further information about Debian LTS security advisories, how to apply these updates to your system and frequently asked questions can be found at: https://wiki.debian.org/LTS - -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIzBAABCAAdFiEEXEj+YVf0kXlZcIfGTFprqxLSp64FAmEuNqEACgkQTFprqxLS p67kWxAAsPLaO6f/NwKZ+vJ7IQvsvXJt2WeCD8wgTSAwRzWIewfRGL8BV+qDPJ4l w6U7ZUVx9yuRR/Ps3/sAdZMWaYqRCoacdBibg9azvYBMHurGXLN3QxGrEsaYUyWN ikQiu0DUa4rKEGLzTh40ncZae8G93EuD4e+nKW5bDKEG/Z59oO3TcYNzcgETARxE YW6Mb+p5wIY78+2fztXTikhhEmKTxlZ6ShaekPWcisisAoSPkoJWeVgmgS2JX71P fn4M1Wc38WX0BQgErvIZt1aNTPdA0SmVutdCOqF3gcO/5qcFnhDJQB/H7LwHFV1e C4Htg4VbwmWjBGc+IsLdff9HvA2IDZ2wZxgXcinQjDbh82C947VvjmnLx7JUfaPU nT4DuY4hZ9uoa2AF6PA3Gk34hs8VWIyHgw8cLRMZXQ/hhg/eTgKZx73uSz2aDAAl 1ZoYBE4zQ8Aev7/uWmWd1QPnlNGBdgJkai9Tcolbzxyor+8OWaIEYO1SWC8LHqP/ HlWpLGEp5XvxxiTZW0OQBD/VmvIMrFt4fnkQrUUQ9QA/WQe3EWnAc5QL/ByGN3UI p2E8+xyfgcWKAtKpdxtax25wz1H64duMUFh9+fydU4BG130byWEQN82dsBLOQwzD pSPZjFPUimqm+m290b6FO/ikz9lSZ9PxtT+IIrvx/jaZI1/XXW4= =dGy/ - -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- - --------------------------END INCLUDED TEXT-------------------- You have received this e-mail bulletin as a result of your organisation's registration with AusCERT.
