A remote attacker could possibly use this issue to cause OpenSSL to crash, resulting in a denial of service. ( CVE-2021-23840 ) Tavis Ormandy discovered that OpenSSL incorrectly handled parsing issuer fields. A remote attacker could possibly use this issue to cause OpenSSL to crash, resulting in a denial of service.
