This in turn requires all packages that use the affected code to be recompiled in order to pick up the security fix. CVE-2019-11840 An issue was discovered in supplementary Go cryptography libraries, aka golang-googlecode-go-crypto. If more than 256 GiB of keystream is generated, or if the counter otherwise grows greater than 32 bits, the amd64 implementation will first generate incorrect output, and then cycle back to previously generated keystream. Repeated keystream bytes can lead to loss of confidentiality in encryption applications, or to predictability in CSPRNG applications. For Debian 9 stretch, this problem has been fixed in version 1.35-1+deb8u1. We recommend that you upgrade your rclone packages. For the detailed security status of rclone please refer to its security tracker page at: https://security-tracker.debian.org/tracker/rclone Further information about Debian LTS security advisories, how to apply these updates to your system and frequently asked questions can be found at: https://wiki.debian.org/LTS - -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIzBAEBCAAdFiEEKpwfR8DOwu5vyB4TKpJZkldkSvoFAl+1i6cACgkQKpJZkldk SvqAvg/+NB3ihnYZBbnAuY1Lhq2sDGMaoigj+nhhN+ih0bPtFgj6YR4mc8E2Kaab FX5/N8POIYdhzX3OMSJr3u6vHz2MI8vJ+gII3eeHR4RZAThY6IphYWsqU9idCgqe iRYZUJxpLK1yFEqzDf9wKMXxearCXdcnWeK6G4Ly4a30hpHe7qCvxxLpXH1vv2ma CbvSyEyWBIrolk9ef6qXxagmgnbOWjRi96doy7ycelEu5z0ydNOYnsTZi/pw+2eU 7P6lYUSoYBUiAESZeglyTAMdgDlIehfY1PjXttmGNqTPOaV5sgxtFskf7mDjl2+r IhYvdsccxGRTn/E/tEiEPUrvjUHXbOWKZ8IEGJBvBgMJMIfw8v9qdnVB3x9BLifN /en2dy7xIK5IR30izphF09YW5mnu2nEpzbpZoQAqFh3kWBlzqokx3GNrBWGbVm+9 6WwQ0MEiRAfZK5c6qQ40abTUZeLnh60OIunhsb0YqCPheJtuRYJMczWzxSIXaA9g Px1DHKjclzvhfCKwZy4976IVRCz0paYatAwCcWFvnjUdNm7vjKANM9DKpaH4eKR1 NHh8LRp6Prk7lFpNdBSIJKOZFkhPOuc6ywmVHD7B4PUaMKp5LYSV1MKYq0C2C3Yk pv41JHCg6f0WvfJ8wi0P3nigP29r80SG7GiTUJ0po6sbKXaOi8g= =i4w2 - -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- - --------------------------END INCLUDED TEXT-------------------- You have received this e-mail bulletin as a result of your organisation's registration with AusCERT.
