Summary:

A potential security vulnerability in the Intel Human Interface Device (HID)
Event Filter Driver may allow escalation of privilege. Intel is releasing
software updates to mitigate this potential vulnerability.

Vulnerability Details

CVEID: CVE-2020-12332

Description: Improper permissions in the installer for the Intel(R) HID Event
Filter Driver before version, all versions, may allow an authenticated user to
potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access.

CVSS Base Score: 6.7 Medium

Recommendations:

Intel recommends that users of Intel HID Event Filter Driver update to the
latest version provided by the system manufacturer that addresses these issues.
