Summary:

A potential security vulnerability in the Intel 50 Gbps Ethernet (50GbE)
Intellectual Property (IP) Core for Intel Quartus Prime may allow denial of
service. Intel is releasing a software update to mitigate this potential
vulnerability.

CVEID: CVE-2020-8767

Description: Uncaught exception in the Intel(R) 50GbE IP Core for Intel(R)
Quartus Prime before version 20.2 may allow an authenticated user to
potentially enable denial of service via local access.

Affected Products:

Intel Quartus Prime before version 20.2.

Recommendations:

Intel recommends updating Intel Quartus Prime to 20.2 or later and
discontinuing use of the Intel 50GbE IP Core. The Intel 100GbE IP Core is a
recommended alternative.
