It is possible to connect to the registry without authentication and call the rebind method to rebind jmxrmi to something else. If an attacker creates another server to proxy the original, and bound that, he effectively becomes a man in the middle and is able to intercept the credentials when an user connects. For Debian 9 stretch, this problem has been fixed in version 5.14.3-3+deb9u1. We recommend that you upgrade your activemq packages. For the detailed security status of activemq please refer to its security tracker page at: https://security-tracker.debian.org/tracker/activemq Further information about Debian LTS security advisories, how to apply these updates to your system and frequently asked questions can be found at: https://wiki.debian.org/LTS - -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQKTBAEBCgB9FiEErPPQiO8y7e9qGoNf2a0UuVE7UeQFAl9+RBhfFIAAAAAALgAo aXNzdWVyLWZwckBub3RhdGlvbnMub3BlbnBncC5maWZ0aGhvcnNlbWFuLm5ldEFD RjNEMDg4RUYzMkVERUY2QTFBODM1RkQ5QUQxNEI5NTEzQjUxRTQACgkQ2a0UuVE7 UeSk8A/+Lb647541HLPzNlVy3iXRPDHiDeI1irnl8UU93+AQ1foXrCJ9jlAXEReZ QqRMcURoBiIzMHsD/GGMnXyyqPMdIyDY9OrTEP5pKX3mQMvxvE9D3srm2tvLuCa+ cSj43UeoIlZ7qgtUM+uSD7LPODhrlyuyiMl0U81VWVGNz7ZHYEHkKljs/G65188U 0oXWktHaK2XH6vi1xTq5Xi+5np25A/UNfWuJ9YomF18+epN/XX3iWGWrxw+52A98 EETdbjtsiySqrTP5vtA3hcM0SPi/+k4dI2iv5XbH6q08AwVzW6C92qxgE7xINHpX FO/bSNVtTYgNCK90F65mdo9uY7Es0Z0SsjSdqb4eCiwAQSIiWwjwSCOGr6E8O9Vm qVcdvutgQc7hguWN5Lh5mo/ObvFR1XFoTeQr+3frJ7ExtvcNcX+myfhuks9NZHzO mDuegH565gqalCZ7djINZC1gc+jhq4pJ+y1EUoisTDB6J6YsAm3SjeLpaGg45gcZ 60kgNSE0mOJP87QRLXLLGPOg6mPJxJ82YC2yNrTMN3S17qtKGm2uGpoSwlZfLJyh Jd6elTQqwJKA7xXAhZw77AFYE8Vus30nFFuFVPStAO7tO6fK7Bq87PXS2b00281S o/GT/528fRU0ctnvJQm/ezQzZNVYNxEKCOHzGmRYArpn8NEbhXk= =mq6r - -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- - --------------------------END INCLUDED TEXT-------------------- You have received this e-mail bulletin as a result of your organisation's registration with AusCERT.
