Summary:

A potential security vulnerability in Intel RAID Web Console 2 (RWC2) may allow
escalation of privilege. Intel is not releasing updates to mitigate this
potential vulnerability and has issued a Product Discontinuation Notice for
Intel RWC2.

Vulnerability Details:

CVEID: CVE-2020-0562

Description: Improper permissions in the installer for Intel(R) RWC2, all
versions, may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of
privilege via local access.

CVSS Base Score: 6.7 Medium

CVSS Vector: CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H

Affected Products:

Intel RWC2, all versions.

Recommendations:

Intel has issued a Product Discontinuation Notice for Intel RWC2 and recommends
that users of Intel RWC2 uninstall it or discontinue use at their earliest
convenience.

Intel recommends that users of RWC2 explore the use of Intel RAID Web Console 3
(RWC3), which is available here:
