DESCRIPTION: base-files package Ubuntu is vulnerable to a denial of service,
caused by an issue with improper handling of temporary files in the MOTD update
script. By sending a specially-crafted request, a local attacker could exploit
this vulnerability to cause a denial of service condition or gain elevated
privileges.
