January 2 2018: Initial Release - --------------------------BEGIN INCLUDED TEXT-------------------- K15479471:Mozilla NSS vulnerability CVE-2016-2834 Security Advisory Original Publication Date: 02 Sep, 2016 Latest Publication Date: 13 Mar, 2019 Security Advisory Description Mozilla Network Security Services (NSS) before 3.23, as used in Mozilla Firefox before 47.0, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory corruption and application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via unknown vectors. (CVE-2016-2834) Impact BIG-IP Remote attackers may be able to impact processes. Though Network Security Services (NSS) is not used by the Traffic Management Microkernel (TMM) or other data-plane components, it is available in the base system and is used by SNMP and sflow. In addition, NSSis available to other control-plane components, such as monitors and utilities available through the Advanced Shell (bash). iWorkflow, BIG-IQ, and Enterprise Manager These systems are not vulnerable in a default configuration because they do not link with the standard NSS libraries. However, base system components may be impacted, though the attack vectors are unknown. Security Advisory Status F5 Product Development has assigned ID 606710 (BIG-IP), ID 606595 (BIG-IQ and iWorkflow), and ID 606597 (Enterprise Manager) to this vulnerability. To determine if your release is known to be vulnerable, the components or features that are affected by the vulnerability, and for information about releases or hotfixes that address the vulnerability, refer to the following table. +--------------+---------------+-----------------+----------+-----------------+ | |Versions known |Versions known to| |Vulnerable | |Product |to be |be not vulnerable|Severity |component or | | |vulnerable | | |feature | +--------------+---------------+-----------------+----------+-----------------+ | |13.0.0 |13.1.0 | | | | |12.0.0 - If the table lists only an older version than what you are currently running, or does not list a non-vulnerable version, then no upgrade candidate currently exists. To determine the necessary upgrade path for your BIG-IQ system, you should understand the BIG-IQ product offering name changes.
