Details: EMC Isilon OneFS is affected by a privilege escalation vulnerability. The vulnerability may grant Active Directory (AD) users in trusted domains root-level access to EMC Isilon clusters if RFC 2307 is enabled on the cluster, and if Windows Services for UNIX (SFU) is not configured on the trusted domain. Resolution: The following versions of EMC Isilon OneFS resolve this vulnerability: EMC Isilon OneFS 7.2.1.1 EMC Isilon OneFS 7.2.0.3 EMC Isilon OneFS 7.1.1.5 EMC strongly recommends that all customers upgrade to a version containing the resolution at the earliest opportunity. Workaround: If upgrading is not an option, customers can perform the following workaround: Do not enable RFC 2307 for AD authentication on your cluster unless your domain and all trusted domains have SFU enabled and configured for all domain users.
