However this install script may provide write previleges to 'others' which is not required Vulnerability Details CVE-2014-3020 CVSS base score: 1.9 Affected Products and Versions This is only an issue for embedded WAS version 7 and stack products that use the install.sh script to install eWAS - which means only TIP 2.1 and 2.2 versions (and all fixpacks) are affected Remediation/Fixes Formal fix will be available with eWAS FP33 which TIP plans to bundle in Q4 2014 Workarounds and Mitigations Please find below the steps to fix the vulnerability 1. Navigate to TIP_HOME folder (ex: /opt/IBM/tivoli/tipv2) 2. Take a backup copy of the install.sh - and rename it as install.sh.pre-vulnerability 3. Edit install.sh file 4. Find this line in the file: chmod -R o+rw $installRoot/ 5. Modify the line to: chmod -R +rw $installRoot/ (please note the removal of 'o' in the above change) 6.
