Red Hat Software, Inc. has released the following advisory concerning new
vulnerabilities in the lpr program.  These vulnerabilities may allow users
to gain root access to the local system.

The following security bulletin is provided as a service to AusCERT's
members.  As AusCERT did not write this document, AusCERT has had no

More buffer overflows have been found in lpr 0.30 as released on 
Saturday. As these flaws may allow users to gain root access to the
local system, Red Hat Software recommends that all users upgrade to
lpr 0.31 immediately.
