        A vulnerability has been identified in the Firmware for Intel Puma 5, 6 
        and 7 series chipsets. [1]
        
        "Affected products:
        
        Home gateway and cable modem devices provided by internet service 
        providers and retail device manufacturers based on the following 
        products:
        
           - Intel® Puma(TM) 5 chipset
        
           - Intel® Puma(TM 6 SoC
        
           - Intel® Puma(TM) 7 SoC" [1]


IMPACT

        The vendor has provided following details regarding the 
        vulnerability:
        
        "Firmware in the Intel(R) Puma(TM) 5, 6, and 7 Series might 
        experience resource depletion or timeout, which allows a network 
        attacker to create a denial of service via crafted network traffic.

MITIGATION

        The vendor advises:
