OVERVIEW

        A number of vulnerabilities have been identified in WordPress prior to 
        version 3.1.2. [1]


IMPACT

        The vendor has provided the following details regarding this 
        vulnerabilities:
        
        "This release addresses a vulnerability that allowed Contributor-level
        users to improperly publish posts.
        
        The issue was discovered by a member of our security team, WordPress
        developer Andrew Nacin, with Benjamin Balter." [1]


MITIGATION

        The vendor recommends upgrading to the latest version of WordPress
        to correct this issue. [1]
