Comment: It is expected the vendors which package PHP will update their
         packages shortly to reflect these fixes.

OVERVIEW

        PHP 5.2.13 has been released correcting several security 
        vulnerabilities.


IMPACT

        The vendor has provided the following information regarding these
        vulnerabilities:
        
           * Fixed safe_mode validation inside tempnam() when the directory
             path does not end with a /). (Martin Jansen)[1]
           * Fixed a possible open_basedir/safe_mode bypass in the session
             extension identified by Grzegorz Stachowiak. (Ilia) [1]
           * Improved LCG entropy. (Rasmus, Samy Kamkar) [1]


MITIGATION

        PHP v5.2x users can download the latest version from the vendor's
        website. [2]
