Remediation/Fixes

The recommended solution is to apply the Interim Fix (iFix) or Cumulative Fix
(CF) containing APAR JR58611 as soon as practical:

  o IBM Business Process Manager
o IBM Business Process Manager Advanced
o IBM Business Process Manager Standard
o IBM Business Process Manager Express

Products that bundle Business Space also need JR58572:

o IBM Business Process Manager (including IBM BPM ESB)
o IBM Business Process Manager Advanced
o IBM Business Process Manager Standard
o IBM Business Process Manager Express
  o WebSphere Process Server
o WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus (including WESB Registry Edition)

WebSphere Application Server is shipped as a component of IBM Business Process
Manager, WebSphere Process Server and WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus.
WebSphere Application Server Liberty is shipped as a component of the optional
BPM component Process Federation Server. Please consult the security bulletin

o Security Bulletin: Security vulnerability in Apache Commons FileUpload
used by WebSphere Application Server (CVE-2016-1000031)

for vulnerability details and information about fixes for WebSphere Application
Server and WebSphere Application Server Liberty.

Because IBM Business Process Manager V7.5, V8.0 and WebSphere Process Server
V7.0 are out of general support, fixes for V7.0, V7.5, V8.0 for these products
and WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus V7.0 and V7.5 and WebSphere Enterprise
Service Bus Registry Edition V7.0 and V7.5 can be requested from IBM support by
eligible customers.
