Summary

The MultipartStream class in Apache Commons Fileupload before 1.3.2, as used in
IBM WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition, specifically the Web Gateway component,
allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption) through
a long boundary string.

Vulnerability Details

CVEID: CVE-2016-3092
Description: The MultipartStream class in Apache Commons Fileupload before
1.3.2, as used in IBM WebSphere File Transfer Edition, in specific the Web
Gateway component, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU
consumption) through a long boundary string. By sending file upload requests,
an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause the server to become
unresponsive.
