Greetings all,

Apple has been busy again this week publishing a number of advisories relating to updates in OSX and the iPhone. The biggest vulnerability of the week was in the LANDesk Management Suite which could be remotely exploited, without authentication, to cause an administrator compromise. For those out there running this suite be sure to apply the update.

In other news we have received several reports today regarding the targeted phishing attacks that have been ongoing for several months now. Be sure to keep an eye on your logs for signs of compromise or attempted access from unauthorised sources.

We also have a new staff member joining the AusCERT team this week. We would like to welcome Patrick Mannion to the Co-ordination Centre. Look out for correspondence from Patrick in the not too distant future.

Enjoy your weekend,

Paul
