OVERVIEW:
A vulnerability has been reported in Windows CE which allows remote
attackers to execute arbitrary code.
IMPACT:
The National Vulnerability Database [1], gives the following
information regarding these vulnerabilities:
o CVE-2008-2160: "Multiple unspecified vulnerabilities in the JPEG
(GDI+) and GIF image processing in Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 allow
remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via crafted JPEG and
GIF images." [2]
MITIGATION:
Microsoft have issued a software update for this issue which is
available as Windows CE 5.0 Platform Builder Monthly Update
(February 2008). [3]
