OVERVIEW
Multiple vulnerabilities have been found across several versions of
the IBM DB2 products.
DETAILS
The affected DB2 UDB for Linux, UNIX, and Windows Version 8.1 and 8.2,
Version 9.1 and Version 9.5 products are:
* DB2 Enterprise Server Edition
* DB2 Workgroup Server (all Editions)
* DB2 Express Server (all Editions)
* DB2 Personal Edition
* DB2 Connect Server (all Editions)
Some vulnerabilities may allow remote unauthenticated users to
execute arbitrary code as the instance owner.
MITIGATION
IBM has released updates to correct the vulnerabilities. The updates
are
* FixPak 16 for DB2 Universal Database (DB2 UDB) Version 8.1
(also known as FixPak 8 for DB2 UDB Version 8.2),
* Fix Packs 4 & 4a for DB2 Version 9.1
* Fix Pack 1 for DB2 Version 9.5
It is recommened you apply the FixPacks as soon as possible.
