http://lurker.clamav.net/message/20080414.161123.ba784ba8.en.html
OVERVIEW:
ClamAV versions prior to 0.93 contain multiple denial of service
vulnerabilities.
IMPACT:
According to the NIST National Vulnerability Database the following
issues were present in versions prior to ClamAV 0.93:
"ClamAV before 0.93 allows remote attackers to bypass the scanning
engine via a RAR file with an invalid version number, which cannot
be parsed by ClamAV but can be extracted by Winrar." [1]
"The rfc2231 function in message.c in libclamav in ClamAV before
0.93 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash)
via a crafted message that produces a string that is not null
terminated, which triggers a buffer over-read." [2]
"libclamunrar in ClamAV before 0.93 allows remote attackers to
cause a denial of service (crash) via crafted RAR files" [3]
MITIGATION:
Users of ClamAV should upgrade to the version 0.93 [4].
