Member content until: Friday, May 09 2008

OVERVIEW

Two vulnerabilities in the Python zlib module may allow a remote
        attacker to execute arbitrary code.[1]

IMPACT

If python is used to handle certain archive files it can be tricked
into a buffer overflow that could cause code of an attackers choice
to be run as the user running python.

MITIGATION

A fix has been released for Python 2.5.2. Users of Python 2.5.2
should update their software as soon as possible.[2]
