Revision History: January 11 2008: Added fourth advisory
                      January 11 2008: Initial Release

- --------------------------BEGIN INCLUDED TEXT--------------------

- ------------SA-2008-001 - DEVEL - CROSS SITE SCRIPTING  ------------

  * Advisory ID: DRUPAL-SA-2008-001

  * Project: Devel (third-party module)

  * Version: 5.x

  * Date: 2008-January-10

  * Security risk: Less critical

  * Exploitable from: Remote

  * Vulnerability: Cross site scripting

- ------------DESCRIPTION------------

The devel module contains many useful developer functions, such as a query log
and the display of variables. The contents of the variable table is not escaped
prior to display. Should an unprivileged user be able to control the contents of
a site variable, it would be possible to inject arbitrary HTML and script code
into these pages, which may lead to administrator access if certain conditions
are met. Learn more about cross site scripting on Wikipedia [
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cross_site_scripting ].

- ------------VERSIONS AFFECTED------------

  * Devel for Drupal 5.x before Devel 5.x-0.1

Drupal core is not affected. If you do not use the contributed Devel module,
there is nothing you need to do.

- ------------SOLUTION------------

Install the latest version:

  * If you use Drupal 5.x upgrade to Devel 5.x-0.1 [
http://drupal.org/node/208526 ].

See also the Devel project page [ http://drupal.org/project/devel ].

- ------------SA-2008-002 - ATOM - ACCESS BYPASS  ------------

  * Advisory ID: DRUPAL-SA-2008-002

  * Project: Atom (third-party module)

  * Version: 4.7.x, 5.x

  * Date: 2008-January-10

  * Security risk: Less critical

  * Exploitable from: Remote

  * Vulnerability: Access bypass

- ------------DESCRIPTION------------

The Atom module provides a list of node titles, and teasers or bodies as part
of a syndication feed. In certain conditions, the titles, teasers, and body were
not respecting access permissions, potentially exposing content to syndication
not available otherwise.

- ------------VERSIONS AFFECTED------------

  * Atom for Drupal 4.7.x before Atom 4.7.x-1.0

  * Atom for Drupal 5.x before Atom 5.x-1.0

Drupal core is not affected. If you do not use the contributed Atom module,
there is nothing you need to do. Furthermore, if your site does
not use more advanced per-node access controls, there is nothing you
need to do.

- ------------SOLUTION------------

Install the latest version:

  * If you use Drupal 4.7.x upgrade to Atom 4.7.x-1.0 [
http://drupal.org/node/208530 ].

  * If you use Drupal 5.x upgrade to Atom 5.x-1.0 [
http://drupal.org/node/198078 ].

See also the Atom project page [ http://drupal.org/project/atom ].

- ------------SA-2008-003 - BUEDITOR - CSRF------------

  * Advisory ID: DRUPAL-SA-2008-003

  * Project: BUEditor (third-party module)

  * Version: 4.7.x, 5.x

  * Date: 2008-January-10

  * Security risk: Not critical

  * Exploitable from: Remote

  * Vulnerability: Cross site request forgery

- ------------DESCRIPTION------------

BUEditor is a plain textarea editor aiming to facilitate code writing. It
supports completely customizable interface and button functionality via
role-based editors.

The Drupal Forms API protects against cross site request forgeries (CSRF),
where a malicous site can cause a user to unintentionally submit a form to a
site where he is authenticated. The editor deletion form does not follow the
standard Forms API submission model and is therefore not protected against this
type of attack. A CSRF attack may result in the deletion of custom editor
interfaces.

- ------------VERSIONS AFFECTED------------

  * BUEditor for Drupal 4.7.x before BUEditor 4.7.x-1.0

  * BUEditor for Drupal 5.x before BUEditor 5.x-1.1

Drupal core is not affected. If you do not use the contributed BUEditor module,
there is nothing you need to do.

- ------------SOLUTION------------

Install the latest version:

  * If you use Drupal 4.7.x upgrade to BUEditor 4.7.x-1.1 [
http://drupal.org/node/206861 ].

  * If you use Drupal 5.x upgrade to BUEditor 5.x-1.1 [
http://drupal.org/node/206858 ].

See also the BUEditor project page [ http://drupal.org/project/bueditor ].

- ------------SA-2008-004 - FILESHARE - ARBITRARY CODE EXECUTION------------

  * Advisory ID: DRUPAL-SA-2008-004

  * Project: Fileshare (third-party module)

  * Version: 4.7.x, 5.x

  * Date: 2008-January-10

  * Security risk: Highly critical

  * Exploitable from: Remote

  * Vulnerability: Arbitrary code execution

- ------------DESCRIPTION------------

The fileshare module is used to create nodes that allow browsing, uploading,
downloading and deleting of files from a fileshare directory that is created by
Drupal and linked to the node.

Users who are able to create fileshare nodes are able to execute arbitrary code
on the server.

- ------------VERSIONS AFFECTED------------

All versions of Fileshare.

Drupal core is not affected. If you do not use the contributed Fileshare
module, there is nothing you need to do.

- ------------SOLUTION------------

Disable the Fileshare module and remove the module from your filesystem. There
is no fixed version of Fileshare available. The project has been removed from
Drupal.org.
