Date: 22 November 2007

Greetings AusCERT members,

Yesterday, AusCERT participated in the APCERT drill. It was an excellent
opportunity to simulate a major incident which tested our incident response
procedures and the communication within APCERT. MyCERT, the current chair of
APCERT did a great job of organising the drill and even engaged their local
F-Secure office:

A full press release with much more info regarding the drill will be available
soon - check the "Latest News" section on the AusCERT front page of our web
site.

There is just three weeks to go for the AusCERT2008, the AusCERT Asia Pacific
Information Security Conference call for presentations and tutorials. I'd like
to encourage all our members to consider submitting something for this. It
would be great to see a healthy line up of Australian and New Zealand speakers
on the AusCERT2008 program and I often particularly enjoy seeing talks with a
local flavour. More information about the call for papers is available at:

Regards,
Rob.
