OVERVIEW:
A vulnerability in Plone has been reported which can allow remote
unauthenticated users to execute arbitrary code.
IMPACT:
Plone 2.5 through 2.5.4 and 3.0 through 3.0.2 allows remote attackers
to execute arbitrary Python code via network data containing pickled
objects for the (1) statusmessages or (2) linkintegrity module, which
the module unpickles and executes. [1]
MITIGATION
Plone has fixed this vulnerability in the release of versions 2.5.5
and 3.0.3 which can be downloaded from the Plone website. [2]
Alternatively you can install the hotfix into your current version
of Plone. Instructions for downloading, installing and confirming
the Hotfix are available on the website. [3]
