Microsoft Corporation has released the following security bulletin
concerning a security vulnerability in Microsoft Internet Explorer.
A problem exists in the MS Windows 'cross-domain security model' which
normally prevents a web site from reading information from anywhere
other than web browser windows associated with that web site.
The vulnerability may allow a malicious web site operator to read - but not
add, change or delete - certain types of files on the computer of a
visiting web browser user. Microsoft has made available a patch which
addresses this vulnerability:
