OVERVIEW:
A vulnerability has been reported in Trend Micro OfficeScan
Corporate Edition versions 7.0 and 7.3 If exploited, this
vulnerability may result in the remote execution of arbitrary code.
IMPACT:
According to information released by Trend Micro [1][2], OfficeScan
clients installed using the web deployment are vulnerable to a buffer
overflow in the cached Active X control. Successful exploitation of
this vulnerability could occur if a user were to visit a malicious
website.
MITIGATION:
Security patch 1344 resolves the issue for OfficeScan version 7.0
[1]. Security patch 1241 resolves the issue for OfficeScan version
7.3 [2].
