Microsoft Corporation has released the following security bulletin
concerning a cryptographic weakness in Windows NT 4.0's Syskey utility.
This vulnerability may reduce the work required in cryptanalytic attacks
against the Security Account Manager (SAM) database. Microsoft has
released a patch which eliminates this particular vulnerability:
