Background Pursuant to the CERT Advisory CA-2003-24 and CA-2003-26 on OpenSSH, Hewlett-Packard Company has learned of a defect in the code of its comparable offering, the HP Secure Shell, product number T1471AA. AFFECTED VERSIONS: The following is a list by HP-UX revision of affected filesets and the fileset revision or patch containing the fix. To determine if a system has an affected version, search the output of "swlist -a revision -l fileset" for an affected fileset, then determine if a fixed revision or the applicable patch is installed. HP-UX B.11.00 HP-UX B.11.11 HP-UX B.11.22 HP-UX B.11.23 ============= Secure_Shell.SECURE_SHELL fix: revision A.03.61.002 or subsequent END AFFECTED VERSIONS B. Fixing the problem HP has produced the following free downloads which fix the defects for its version, which is based on OpenSSH release 3.6.2. Called A.03.61.002, it is the newest version of HP-UX Secure Shell. There are required libc, PAM and patch bundles (see Release Notes in download). The downloads address releases B.11.00, B.11.11, B.11.22, and B.11.23.
