To be one of the world's most authoritative sources of trusted and impartial computer security expertise.

Mission

As the leading Computer Emergency Response Team for Australia and as a leading CERT in the Asia/Pacific Region, AusCERT will maintain a world recognised reputation and trusted contact network of computer security experts around the world and we will continue providing prevention, response and mitigation strategies for members through:

  • Information dissemination both nationally and throughout the region;

  • Understanding local and global trends;

  • World class incident response and support;

  • Provision of leadership in the management and development of international and business Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs);

  • Leadership in advanced computer security education; and

  • Being regarded as the employer of choice for leading security professionals.
