NEW AUSCERT UNIX Security Checklist now available.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Australian Computer Emergency Response Team would like to announce the
availability of its new UNIX Security Checklist. This comprehensive document
covers common and known security holes under the UNIX Operating System. It
replaces the old UNIX checklist SA-93.06.UNIX.Security.Checklist. DO NOT
continue to use this old checklist as some of the content is now invalid.

The checklist can be retrieved via anonymous ftp from the location
   ftp://ftp.auscert.org.au/pub/auscert/papers/unix_security_checklist_1.0

It is AUSCERT's intention to continue to update this checklist. New versions
will be placed in the same area on the ftp server and should be checked for
periodically.

Comments are welcome and should be directed via email to auscert@auscert.org.au.
