SA-93.07 SERT Advisory
				 21-Jul-1993
			   SERT anonymous ftp available
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

In order to satisfy an ever increasing demand for information, SERT, in
conjunction with Griffith University, has established an anonymous FTP
service. The aim of this service is to provide the AARNet community with
a central access point for security advisory and related information. In
particular, the anonymous FTP service will provide access to the following
information:

	- SERT advisories
	- SERT "Megapatch"
	- security tools and utilities
	- a copy of the CERT archive
	- other security related information

This information can be obtained by connecting to the ftp server
"ftp.sert.edu.au" as user "anonymous" and supplying your email address
as a password. Security related information will be maintained in the
directory "/security".

If you have any questions or problems regarding this service, please send
email to sert@sert.edu.au.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you believe that your system has been compromised, contact SERT or your
representative in FIRST (Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams).
