VULNERABILITY SUMMARY
A potential vulnerability has been identified with certain HP ElitePad tablet
PCs. The secure boot feature of the BIOS may not be enabled, allowing
alternate operating systems to be booted in contradiction with the BIOS
configuration. Secure Boot is a feature that, when enabled, prevents the
system firmware from booting to unauthorized boot loaders, option ROMs and
operating systems that can run in the pre-boot environment.

RESOLUTION
To resolve this vulnerability, HP has provided a BIOS firmware update. HP
recommends that BIOS version vF.01 or later be installed on all HP ElitePad
900 systems and that Secure Boot be enabled.
HP ElitePad 900 BIOS version vF.01 is available from hp.com .
Select "Support & Drivers"
Select Drivers and Software, then enter "ElitePad 900" as the model number
Select the correct model number
Select the Operating System running on the ElitePad
- - From the product support page, download and install the "HP ElitePad 900
Driver and Firmware Update" v1.0.0.8 or later.
Note: After the BIOS is updated, additional secure boot configuration steps
are needed
Go to Control Panel
Select HP BIOS Settings
Select "Secure Boot" to enable this feature.
