OVERVIEW
A vulnerability has been identified in Hitachi Cosminexus versions
08-50 to 08-50-20, 08-53 to 08-53-05, 08-70 to 08-70-09, 09-00 to
09-00-06 for Windows and Linux(x64), 08-50 to 08-50-20, 08-53 to
08-53-05, 08-70 to 08-70-09 for Linux(x86), 08-50 to 08-50-20 for
Linux(IPF), and 08-50 to 08-50-20, 08-70 to 08-70-09, 09-00 to
09-00-06 for HP-UX(IPF) and AIX. [1]
IMPACT
The vendor has provided the following details regarding this
vulnerability:
"A vulnerability about user authentication was found in operational
management function of Cosminexus. This vulnerability allows
malicious users to delete and replace applications which other users
attached." [1]
"Malicious users can exploit this vulnerability to manipulate an
operational management portal without authentication." [1]
MITIGATION
The vendor recommends upgrading to the latest appropriate version to
correct this issue. [1]
