OVERVIEW
A denial of service vulnerability has been identified in Ruby on Rails
prior to 3.2.7.
IMPACT
The vendor has provided the following information:
"There is a DoS vulnerability in Action Pack digest authentication
handling in Rails. This vulnerability has been assigned the CVE
identifier CVE-2012-3424." [1]
"Impacted code uses any of the `with_http_digest` controller
helper methods." [1]
MITIGATION
The vulnerability is fixed in Ruby on Rails 3.2.7. [2] There are also
patches available for those unable to upgrade. [1]
