AusCERT Week in Review for 25th May 2012

Date: 25 May 2012

Greetings (Earthlings),

This week has been completed at what seems a leisurely pace compared to the conference last week.

Most bulletins this week have been fairly standard. A couple of the more comment-worthy included another Google Chrome update and multiple un-fun vulnerabilities in Symantec Endpoint Protection and Network Access Control.

The most significant news however, is the departure of Richard Billington, who is leaving for the proverbial greener pastures. With that in mind; here's a fitting video found after (not) many hours of research. Since words are just simply not enough for such an occasion, here's another one.

For those interested in joining the AusCERT team, the position of Coordination Centre Manager has been advertised on the UQ website.

Happy weekend,
Olivia (and Luigi and Lenin)
