Greetings,

With the AusCERT2012 conference now just a few weeks away, if you haven't already done so it would be a good idea to register soon, as the early bird rate finishes this coming Monday:

We've been treated to a sumptuous smorgasbord of patches this week thanks to Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Samba, Oracle, Apple ... pretty much everyone!

Products you should patch now rather than reading this review would include Samba (CVE-2012-1182) as it's a remote root compromise, Microsoft's Windows Common Controls (MS12-027) as it's being actively exploited and Apple's OS X patch for Java, to wind up the Flashback malware party.

Not wanting to be left out, VMware also have provided the VMSA-2012-0007 patch to remedy a privilege escalation for many of their products.

Enjoy a good weekend,
Olivia and Marco
