AusCERT week in Review for 5th April 2012

Date: 05 April 2012

Greetings,

This week has been relatively quiet, however there have been a couple of interesting vulnerabilities exploited in the wild.

The first was the existence of exploit code for a denial of service bug in Rockwell Automation products (used for industrial automation control and information).

Also of interest was the release of Java updates from Apple shortly after security researchers identified a password-stealing Flashback trojan. That's right, Mac malware! PC had this response.

Finally, be aware of Easter themed malware and spam over the next week or so.

Eat lots of chocolate,
Olivia
