The week Cisco came to town

Date: 02 March 2012

Greetings,

This week has been a nice break from the usual slew of patches. The only exception was Cisco releasing five [1,2,3,4,5] (or six if you read the latest SANS blog before they updated it). One of those was actually from last week. Either way, there be patches for Cisco a plenty!

The only other 2 items that made me personally have to run around were the Puppet and PostgreSQL bulletins, both of which required me going through the arduous patching process of:

  1. Snapshot VM
  2. Patch VM
  3. Profit
Unfortunately it appears that the application of patches failed at step number 3, so I will be back at work on Monday.

I hope you all have a good weekend. I will be spending mine actually using my new(ly accessible) study to do all the sorts of fun things (some software development, adding some hard drives into my media centre PC) that keep me out of direct sunlight and fresh air.

Richard
