Did I do that?

If you live on the wild side and choose to run a non-Microsoft web browser then chances are you are running Safari, Chrome, or Firefox. If you said yes to Safari, you can stop reading here and do something else with your time. If you are running Firefox or Chrome, then I have bad news and you should read on.

Firefox has released version 7.0.1 to correct a problem that seemed to cause user add-ons to disappear. Mozilla's original blog post has more information. PCWorld also has an article called 9000 Good Reasons to Upgrade to Firefox 7.0.1. Personally I disagree, as I think many of those 9000 add-ons are not good (of course NoScript is a fantastic one that all Firefox users should be running).

If you are in the Chrome camp, then the problem is not your fault. Microsoft released an update that resulted in Microsoft Security Essentials (their free anti-virus software) detecting Chrome as Zbot! Oops. Microsoft has said sorry about the inconvenience and is recommend users update their definitions (again) and reinstall Chrome.
