The first full week in spring

Date: 09 September 2011

Greetings All,

I hope the week has gone well for you. Personally I think I have breathed in more dust that I thought was possible. We have been doing a spring clean (fantastic time for it... being the start of spring) of our offices this week. Countless bins and bags have been filled for recycling, shredding, or removing. We finally got rid of our copy of PKZIP and MS-DOS 6.22.

This is much like the cleaning of vulnerabilities that some software manufacturers have done this week; what a segue! Next week we have Adobe and Microsoft to make life fun.

This week we had a Wireshark DoS (ASB-2011.0075). Mozilla has also released versions 6.0.2 and 3.6.22 of Firefox and versions 6.0.2 and 3.1.14 of Thunderbird with improvements to the revoked root certificate for DigiNotar (ASB-2011.0073.2).

Enjoy your weekend everyone!
Richard
