PLATFORM: HP 9000 Series 700/800s running versions of HP-UX 10.X DAMAGE: Vulnerabilities exist allowing users to increase privileges. SOLUTION: Change the permissions of the following files to 0555: /opt/mpower_2.0/setup/mp_start_vue /opt/mpower_2.0/share/mpStrtVue.cl /opt/mpower_2.0/share/mpStrtVue.sr /opt/scan/rtw/appconfig/toolboxes/C/utilities/Media/Scanner /opt/scan/rtw/appconfig/vuetoolboxes/C/Media/Scanner AVAILABILITY: This advisory will be revised when a patch is available to correct the permissions. _________________________________________________________________________ I. A. Background The files listed install with incorrect permissions. B. Fixing the problem The permissions should be 0555. C. Impact of the patch No patch is currently available. E.
