Chatting and Blogging Updates

Date: 01 July 2011

Greetings,

For those of you running blogs out there now is the time to update your installations of Drupal and WordPress. Neither vulnerability seems to be overly problematic, but better safe than sorry. Tomcat was also updated this week with the 5, 6, and 7 branches all updated.

Those of you who are chatty people should update your Asterisk and Pidgin software. Different types of chatting I know, but my wife (Asterisk) and I (Pidgin) compete for the largest amount of chat time over the week. As is always the case - the wife wins, although I am sure it is not ALL via asterisk as she does use her mobile a lot too.

Lastly we have had a few network connection problems today (Friday) with the peering here at the University of Queensland. They are working on it but we have had a few false ARMS alerts because of it.

Richard
