AusCERT has won auDA's Australia and New Zealand Internet Best Practice Award for the category of Best Security Initiative for 2010.

AusCERT won the award for its work to repatriate data stolen from malware infected computers so the affected parties can mitigate the harm. The initiative has allowed many thousands of victims all around the world to minimise subsequent harm arising from the compromise of their computers by malware.
