OVERVIEW
A vulnerability has been identified in Hitachi Storage Command Suite
products.
IMPACT
The vendor has provided the following description of the vulnerability:
"If a Hitachi Storage Command Suite product uses an LDAP directory
server as an external authentication server, the StartTLS function
might not be enabled even if the connection protocol is set to use
StartTLS. Due to the above problem, communications might be leaked to
a third party." [1]
The following products are affected by this vulnerability:
* Hitachi Device Manager Software for Windows, Linux and Solaris
versions 6.1.0-00 to 6.1.0-02, 6.1.1-00 to 6.1.1-04, 6.2.0-00 to
6.2.0-01
* Hitachi Replication Manager Software for Windows and Solaris versions
6.1.0-00 to 6.1.0-01, 6.2.0-00
* Hitachi Tiered Storage Manager Software for Windows, Linux and
Solaris versions 6.1.0-00 to 6.1.0-01, 6.1.1-00 to 6.1.1-01, 6.2.0-00
to 6.2.0-01
* Hitachi Tuning Manager Software for Windows and Solaris versions
6.1.0-00, 6.2.0-00 to 6.2.0-01
* Hitachi Global Link Manager Software for Windows versions 6.1.0-00

MITIGATION
The vendor recommends upgrading to the latest versions of these
products. [1]
