OVERVIEW
IBM have released DB2 9.7 Fix Pack 1 correcting a number of
security vulnerabilities.
IMPACT
The vendor has provided the following information regarding these
vulnerabilities: [1]
* DB2 CONNECT SERVER MAY TRAP IN A CLIENT REROUTE CONFIGURATION.
* ALTER TABLE FAILS WITH SQL30082N RC=26 WHEN THE DEFINER OF THE
VIEW ON TABLE DOES NOT EXIST
* MEMORY LEAK WHEN ATTACHING TO DATABASE PARTITION WITH
AUTHENTICATION TYPE SERVER_ENCRYPT
* DISABLING AUDIT DISABLES IT AT THE ENGINE LEVEL BUT NOT THE
PROCESS LEVEL. HEALTH MONITOR CONTINUES TO LOG AUDIT RECORDS.
* DASAUTO COMMAND CAN BE RUN BY NON-PRIVILEGED USERS
MITIGATION
IBM DB2 9.7 Fix Pack 1 can be applied to correct these
vulnerabilities.
