AusCERT Certificate Service Repository

The AusCERT Certificate Service Repository contains the policies and procedures and legal agreements of Participant Organisations and subscribers when using the AusCERT CS.

Legal agreements and CS policies

The following documents describe the operational practices and general terms and conditions for using the AusCERT Certificate Service:

  • AusCERT CS Certification Practice Statement and Certificate Policy version 1.0 approved with effect from 18 October 2011
  • This document defines the legal, commercial and technical practices for approving, issuing, using and managing AusCERT server (excluding EV SSL certificates), code signing and personal certificates. It also outlines the roles and responsibilities of the Participant Organisations using the AusCERT CS public key infrastructure.

  • Comodo EV Certification Practice Statement version 1.03, dated 4 June 2007
  • Addendum to the Comodo EV Certification Practice Statement, version 1.03 dated 8 June 2009
  • These documents define the legal, commercial and technical practices for approving, issuing, using and managing Comodo Extended Validation SSL certificates (EV SSL). It also outlines the roles and responsibilities of the Participant Organisations using the Comodo public key infrastructure.

  • AusCERT CS Relying Party Warranty
  • This document defines the general terms and conditions that apply to parties using an AusCERT CS certificate.

  • AusCERT CS Subscriber Agreements for SMIME, SSL and Code Signing
  • The subscriber agreements define the contractual obligations of individuals and registration Authority Officers (RAOs/DRAOs)requesting or issuing an AusCERT CS certificate on behalf of their organisation. These agreements are displayed in the CSM just prior to subscribers gaining access to their certificates. Subscribers need to agree to the terms and conditions in order to use the certificate service.

  • Comodo Subscriber Agreements for EV SSL Certificates
  • The subscriber agreements define the contractual obligations of individuals and registration Authority Officers (RAOs/DRAOs)requesting or issuing a Comodo EV SSL certificate on behalf of their organisation. These agreements are displayed in the CSM just prior to subscribers gaining access to their certificates. Subscribers need to agree to the terms and conditions in order to use the certificate service.

    These certificates are not included as part of the AusCERT Certificate Service offer, however, upon request, EVSSL certificates can be requested via the CSM, for a separate additional fee. This agreement is an agreement between the Participant Organisation and Comodo directly - not AusCERT.

  • AusCERT CS Participant Organisation Agreement updated 9 January 2012
  • This agreement is signed between AusCERT and Participant Organisations wishing to use the AusCERT Certificate Services.

  • AusCERT CS Participant Organisation Agreement Schedule 1 updated 20 December 2012
  • This document must be filled in with the Participant Organisation Contact details.

AusCERT CS CA certificates:

AusCERT CS Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs) and Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP)

AusCERT uses two methods to enable a Relying Party to verify the validity of an AusCERT CA signed certificate. Each CRL and the OCSP contain information about all AusCERT CS CA's revoked certificates.
